OTADA Wind Park Kicks Off in Šakiai!

A symbolic capsule was placed in the foundation of the "OTADA" wind park, located near Šakiai in the beautiful southwestern region of Lithuania. The park will feature four GE “Cypress” 4.5 MW wind turbines in a total park capacity of 18 MW. GE “Cypress” wind turbines are very impressive structures. With a hub height of 151 meters and a rotor diameter of 158 meters, they resemble the Vilnius TV tower with blades.

The OTADA wind park is being developed by the INIKTI and VERSINA companies. The Mayor of Šakiai, Raimondas Januševičius, expressed his happiness about such a project being built in the Šakiai district and is delighted to be a part of green energy development.

VERSINA CEO Gedminas Banys, VERSINA Director of Development Vytautas Banys, INIKTI Wind CEO Aivaras Stumbras, GE consultant Žygintas Klionauskas, landowners, community members, business partners and many other honored guests participated in the ceremony.

Everyone agreed to gather again at the site once the OTADA wind park is complete to marvel at the towering turbines.
