Lithuania 2026 April Statistic

As we shared earlier, at the end of April Lithuania made history by generating more electricity from renewable energy sources than the country consumed.

This achievement was driven by record-breaking wind and solar generation - together, they produced as much as 77% of all electricity generated in Lithuania during April.

The largest share came from wind energy.

Wind turbines generated 55% of the country’s total electricity production (0.51 TWh) and covered the largest share of electricity demand - around 59%.

Solar power added another 22%, generating 0.20 TWh of electricity.

This is a clear sign that we are moving in the right direction. We continue working to make records like these part of everyday life.
